The leaves are falling, the pies are baking, and my brain is alert: on the prowl for pumpkin spiced flavored EVERYTHING.

Despite the now-chilly weather, you can still enjoy a vibrant, spiced iced drink during these autumn months and actually stick to your Paleo diet—with a big, diet-committed smile plastered across your face.

At least: that’s how I feel when I’m drinking this Paleo diet pumpkin smoothie. Enamored with myself and my life choices! Look at me? I’m on a “diet”! And yet: I’m so happy? Whatever. I’ll take it.

Seasonal Pumpkin Spice Detox Smoothie

Recipe Makes 2 Smoothies.

Ingredients:

2 cups almond milk

3/4 cup pumpkin puree

1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice

1 tsp. all spice

½ tsp. ginger

2 ½ tsp. cinnamon

2 scoops whey protein powder

1 1/3 cup ice cubes

1 cup water

Directions:

1. Begin by placing the above ingredients together in a bender.

2. Blend the ingredients well, and portion the blender into two cups for serving.

3. Enjoy this dramatic release into a better, more seasonal, less sugar-y world!
